Regional Category Buyer

Short Description

On behalf of our client, Lactalis Group, we are looking for candidate for the position of Regional Category Buyer on Packaging, ingredients & ODRM responsible for South East Europe.

• This person will join the Lactalis Regional Procurement Organization and work in a team dedicated to Packaging and Ingredients.
• Candidate who join us will be able to influence at the regional level, take initiative and actions for his category and be in direct contact with key stakeholders across the group.
• This job position gives opportunity to leverage expertise on international projects, with the support of accessible managers. 

Description

• Develop Packaging and Ingredients knowledge and Expertise within Lactalis Group,
• Lead Strategic Projects with local and global Teams (decomplexification, multiple sourcing, group descriptor definition…)
• Analyze and assess supplier technical capabilities,
• Build mapping of technical and geographical needs,
• Maintain technical and regulatory watch on key topics for the group,
• Define with all relevant Stakeholders (R&D, Industrial, Quality, Marketing, …) the strategy of the category, taking into consideration the internal and external partners and context (Lactalis Countries, Regulatory, Market environment, Suppliers…),
• Define sourcing CSR definition relevant to your category,
• Drive the strategy with your local counterparts (local buyers and local R&D) and monitor its progress,
• Manage the Suppliers Portfolio and define the Suppliers Panel,
• Identify Market Opportunities,
• Manage regional Tenders,
• Monitor your category with KPIs.

Requirements

• 2-5 years experience minimum in procurement background
• Problem solving oriented, with a strong analytical know how
• Comfortable in an international environment 
• Excellent communicator with strategic vision
• Efficient connector - able to build a network to support business goals
• Show leadership, in being able to align strategy and stakeholders around identified and new business opportunities
• Proficiency in English language
• Good knowledge of MS office, SAP
