Short Description

For our client, an international construction company expanding its operations and local team in Serbia, we are looking for a Licensed Construction Engineer – Licence 410 / GI 04-01.1 with strong construction and on-site experience.The company will act as the General Contractor on various projects in Serbia, with an initial focus on industrial facilities, while commercial, residential and infrastructure projects are also planned.

Description

Organizing and managing day-to-day site activities in accordance with the established construction schedule and project requirements;
Maintaining construction documentation and issuing work instructions to subcontractors in line with their respective scopes of work;
Reviewing and verifying the accuracy and completeness of data recorded in subcontractors’ construction logbooks;
Checking construction works against approved drawings, technical specifications, and project requirements, and coordinating the resolution of site and quality issues within the assigned scope of responsibility;
Supporting the subcontracting process, including the engagement of subcontractors and procurement of materials and equipment required for project execution;
Assigning tasks and providing clear work instructions to site personnel to ensure the efficient execution of planned activities;
This position reports directly to the Chief Architect;

Requirements

University degree in relevant field;
Valid civil/structural execution licence GI 04-01.1 or previously issued Licence 410, with active registration and an authorised scope of work appropriate to the position;
Relevant experience in construction execution and on-site work;
Practical knowledge of construction permitting and approval processes in Serbia, including communication with relevant authorities, preparation of the required documentation, and follow-up of applications through to approval.
Experience on industrial projects is preferred, while commercial, residential and infrastructure experience will also be considered relevant;
Experience in coordinating subcontractors and other project participants;
Willingness to work across different project locations in Belgrade, the surrounding area and, when required, other locations in Serbia;
A willingness to explore new design concepts, technologies, and working methods introduced by international team, as well as to help identify practical solutions within Serbian regulatory requirements
Professional proficiency in English for day-to-day communication with the international team is required
Strong organizational and communication skills;
Proactive, responsible and hands-on approach;
