Senior Accountant

Short Description

On behalf of our client, JFE Shoji Serbia (a leading manufacturer of electrical steel cores for automotive and industrial electric motors), we are looking for a motivated and results-oriented professional to join the team as a Senior Accountant.

Description

• Perform general accounting activities, including preparation, maintenance and reconciliation of ledger accounts and financial statements such as balance sheets, profit and loss statements and capital expenditure schedules.
• Prepare records, analyses and reports accounting transactions and ensure the integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy and compliance with accepted accounting policies and principles.
• Maintain accounting policies and controls, fiscal controls, prepare financial reports, cash flow projections and safeguard the organizations assets.
• Prepare tax related reports, payment and audits, including but not limited to corporate tax and VAT and transfer price related issues.
• Participate in payment activities including but not limited to preparation of payment instructions and performing internal control activities related to payment.
• Prepare and analyses strategic business unit financial statements, including monitoring and analyzing operating results compared to plan and prior period.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly operating reports to assist management in understanding financial results.
• Prepare financial audit reports and participate in financial audits.
• Prepare reports related to governmental incentives and audits related to such incentives.
• Be included in foundation and development of financial / accounting / tax processes.
• Implements and continuously improves financial, accounting, and tax procedures.
• Provides support to other departments in defining and establishing their policies and work processes.
• Participates in the establishment of compliance systems and internal control systems

Requirements

• University degree in Economics, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in financial & management accounting
• Experience within production company (cost accounting, automotive would be an advantage)
• Excellent strategic planning skills and able to interact with all levels
• Good MS Office skills and AB Soft
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken
• Knowledge of Accounting
• Knowledge and application of tax regulations
• Familiarity with IFRS standards and accounting regulations
• Electronic banking
• Budgeting and budget control
