On behalf of our client, Voith Hydro, a global leader in hydropower technology and part of the internationally renowned Voith Group, we are looking for a Field Service Quality Engineer (m/f/d) to join their international team. With more than 150 years of engineering excellence, operations in over 60 countries, and approximately 22,000 employees worldwide, Voith develops innovative technologies that support sustainable energy production and major infrastructure projects around the globe.
- As a Field Service Quality Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring that quality standards are consistently achieved throughout the installation and commissioning phases of hydropower projects. you will support project teams by implementing quality assurance processes, conducting audits, coordinating inspections, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across international project sites.
- Working closely with field teams, engineering departments, suppliers, and customers, you will help ensure that every project meets the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance.

Description
- Support the development and implementation of project-specific quality strategies and perform
- quality risk assessments.
- Review customer specifications and prepare site-specific Quality Plans.
- Provide quality support for critical installation processes, including:
- Non-Destructive Testing (NDT)
- Participate in design reviews, site quality meetings, inspection planning, and test plan development.
- Ensure effective quality assurance and quality management through audits, A3 problem-solving, lessons learned, and continuous improvement activities.
- Review, approve, and maintain project-specific Quality Data Books.
- Coordinate inspections and maintain quality documentation within company IT systems.
- Provide quality support to international field service teams both remotely and on-site.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to resolve quality-related issues and ensure project compliance.
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or
- equivalent technical education.
- Previous experience in Quality Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related technical field.
- Good understanding of manufacturing and processing technologies, such as:
- Auditor qualification (e.g. ISO 9001, ISO 19011, VDA 6.3) is considered an advantage.
- Experience with dimensional inspections, Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), or electrical testing is desirable.
- Knowledge of Laser Tracker and 3D measurement technologies is a plus.
- Proficiency with SAP, SharePoint, Microsoft Office, and database/document management
- systems.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional working proficiency in English. Additional languages are considered an advantage.
- Ability to work effectively within international cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to travel internationally for business assignments (up to 80% of the time).
