On behalf of our client, an international company specializing in the trading and distribution of raw materials, metals, and industrial materials, Manpower Serbia is looking for a motivated and experienced professional to join their team as an Application Support & Technical Analyst.
As an Application Support & Technical Analyst, you will be responsible for the day-to-day support, reliability, and continuous improvement of the company’s Commodity Trading and Risk Management (CTRM) system and related applications.
The role combines technical application support, troubleshooting, system administration, testing, and collaboration with business users. You will work closely with internal users, technical teams, and external development partners to ensure that critical applications and business processes operate smoothly and efficiently.

Monitor the health, availability, and performance of business-critical applications and scheduled processes.
Troubleshoot application, data, integration, and workflow issues and coordinate their resolution.
Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and implement or coordinate corrective and preventive actions.
Provide technical support to internal users across Trading, Operations, Finance, Risk, and Accounting.
Administer users, permissions, reference data, and other application configurations.
Work closely with developers and external vendors on incidents, system changes, enhancements, and releases.
Create and execute test cases, support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and validate system changes before and after releases.
Support projects related to reporting, automation, integrations, data quality, and process improvement.
Identify opportunities to automate manual and repetitive activities and improve operational processes.
Maintain documentation, procedures, and user guides and contribute to improving support processes.

Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Finance, or a related field.
3+ years of relevant experience in application support, technical analysis, business systems analysis, production operations, or a similar role.
Strong experience supporting business-critical applications and troubleshooting issues across systems, data, integrations, and automated processes.
Good understanding of Python is required, with the ability to read and understand existing scripts. This is not a software development role, so advanced programming experience is not required.
Practical knowledge of SQL, databases, APIs, and scripting.
Understanding of application logs, scheduled jobs, file transfers, integrations, and basic infrastructure concepts.
Experience working with software developers, vendors, and business stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ownership, and the ability to work independently during time-sensitive incidents.
Excellent English communication skills and the ability to explain technical topics clearly to non-technical users.

The following would be considered an advantage:

Experience with CTRM/ETRM platforms or commodities-related businesses.
Understanding of trading, pricing, logistics, inventory, invoicing, settlements, PnL, risk, or accounting processes.
Experience with Azure/AWS, Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.
