For our client, a leading company in the automotive industry, currently setting up its first European production facility in Novi Sad, we are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join their team. As a Maintenance Engineer you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of production equipment and facilities. This includes managing maintenance personnel, overseeing technical operations, and implementing continuous improvement measures in line with international quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and improve production equipment and tooling to ensure continuous, efficient operation
- Manage maintenance of all company facilities and equipment
- Lead department safety measures and enforce safety protocols
- Supervise and train maintenance personnel; assign and track daily tasks
- Provide technical support for new or renovated equipment projects
- Develop and optimize preventive maintenance plans
- Troubleshoot equipment failures, especially those causing extended downtime
- Track and analyze downtime, MTTR, MTBF, and implement improvements
- Plan and manage spare parts inventory and purchasing
- Create and maintain standardized maintenance documentation and records
- Support equipment installation and commissioning; supervise external contractors
- Evaluate production equipment risks and develop risk management plans
- Ensure full compliance with IATF16949, ISO45001, ISO14000, and other relevant standards
- Participate in internal audits and implement improvements as per IOS requirements
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (VI/VII level)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role
- Proficiency in PLC programming and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of robot application and maintenance
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Experience with ERP systems and MS Office tools
- Experience working in an international manufacturing environment is a plus

- Able to stay composed under pressure
