On behalf of our client, an international manufacturing company within the FMCG / food production industry, we are seeking a candidate for the following position Country Procurement Head - Adria Region. Along with the Eastern Europe Cluster Procurement Leader, develop and implement a procurement strategy across the country to effectively manage all Direct Procurement needs (raw materials, packaging) and requirements within the country, in alignment with the Regional procurement strategy.
Description
- Along with the Eastern Europe Cluster Procurement Leader, develop and implement a procurement strategy across the country to effectively manage all Direct Procurement needs (raw materials, packaging) and requirements within the country, in alignment with the Regional procurement strategy.
- Ensure maximum value delivery opportunities (global, regional or local) is adopted within the country while mitigating risks and ensuring superior quality from supplies.
- Ensure best-in-class Supply management and flawless execution of strategies, securing continuity of supply, optimizing cost and service performance, and guaranteeing full compliance with procurement policies while partnering with local stakeholders, in alignment with the Global procurement model.
- Be the face of Procurement, set the agenda, communicate with key stakeholders and ensure senior leadership is aware of progress / roadblocks to results.
- Build and lead a strongly engaged and high performing team (attract, develop and retain talent).
- Together with the Cluster Procurement Leader, set direction for the team incorporating procurement best practices in category management for local categories, and supporting the strategy definition and execution for regional and global categories.
- Supply management & operational excellence: ensure continuity of supply for all categories in scope, proactively managing risks and disruptions.
- Resolve supply constraints with suppliers and local stakeholders, escalating to cluster and regional procurement when needed. Manage day-to-day supplier relationships at country level.
- Ensure an ongoing portfolio of productivity projects across all value levers.
- Lead the development of local procurement procedures across the country and monitor compliance against them.
- Ensure adoption of approved procurement tools.
- Drive sustainability practices within the country in support of the global and regional sustainability strategies and targets.
Requirements
- Strong business acumen
- Proven track record of leading a procurement team
- 7+ years of experience in category management and strategic sourcing
- BA required, MBA preferred
- Bilingual, English required
