Technical Manager

Short Description

On behalf of our client, BIG CEE, Manpower Serbia is looking for motivated candidates for the position of Technical Manager.

• Location: Karaburma
• The Technical Manager is responsible for the overall technical management and supervision of all systems within BIG FASHION Belgrade Shopping Center and BIG Belgrade Retail Park. This role includes technical maintenance, coordination of internal services and external contractors, monitoring of technical systems, cost control, and management of technical documentation, in accordance with established procedures. The position reports directly to the Deputy Shopping Center Manager.

Description

• Plan, organize, and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of all technical systems and equipment
• Manage work schedules, manpower, materials, spare parts, and consumables
• Coordinate external contractors and service providers for regular and investment maintenance works
• Obtain, analyze, and compare offers for technical, electrical, mechanical, and construction works
• Monitor and control execution of works in line with contracts, deadlines, budgets, and quality standards
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of the technical condition of the facility and equipment, including required repairs, renovations, and upgrades
• Ensure proper inventory control related to technical maintenance
• Monitor and analyze energy consumption and key technical parameters to optimize operating costs
• Oversee the technical functionality of the parking system
• Support the Deputy Shopping Center Manager in cooperation with tenants regarding technical fit-outs, adaptations, and interventions within leased premises
• Manage, review, and archive complete technical documentation of the facility and equipment
• Prepare technical input for periodic management reports, including facility condition, completed activities, identified risks, and proposed improvement measures
• Coordinate responses in emergency situations (major failures, breakdowns, incidents) and cooperate with relevant authorities
• Perform other duties related to shopping center operations as assigned by the employer

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering, or a related technical field (preferred, not mandatory)
• Up to 2 years of relevant professional experience (preferred, not mandatory)
• Good understanding of building technical systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection systems)
• High level of responsibility, independence, and strong organizational skills
• Ability to make sound decisions and manage priorities effectively
• Strong communication skills for working with tenants and contractors
• Computer literacy (MS Office package)
• Proficiency in English
