Welding Engineer

For our client, a leading company in the automotive industry, currently setting up its first European production facility in Novi Sad, we are looking for a Welding Engineer to join their team. 


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and optimize welding processes, equipment, and tooling for current and new projects
  • Plan and implement production workflows, layouts, and manpower requirements
  • Lead the installation, testing, and acceptance of welding equipment and fixtures
  • Maintain and continuously improve welding processes to ensure quality, efficiency, and cost reduction
  • Prepare and update process documentation (PFMEA, control plans, flowcharts, work instructions)
  • Conduct root cause analysis and corrective actions for production issues and equipment downtime
  • Supervise and train operators and technicians, ensuring adherence to process and safety standards
  • Support the development of new technologies, processes, and equipment
  • Ensure compliance with IATF16949, ISO45001, ISO14001, and internal company standards
  • Monitor production KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Process Engineering
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in welding process engineering or production engineering
  • Knowledge of welding process standards and related equipment
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills; strong sense of teamwork and collaboration
  • Adherence to corporate values and leadership model
  • Fluent in English (verbal and written communication)
