On behalf of our client, Voith Hydro, a global leader in hydropower technology and part of the internationally renowned Voith Group, we are looking for a Field Service Supervisor – Electrical (m/f/d) to join their international team. As a Field Service Supervisor – Electrical, you will represent Voith Hydro on customer sites worldwide, supervising the installation of hydroelectric generators and ensuring projects are executed safely, efficiently, and according to the highest quality standards.
You will serve as the key point of coordination between project management, engineering teams, subcontractors, and customers, while leading site activities from installation through successful project completion.

Description

Technical Supervision

Supervise the installation of hydroelectric generators, including stator and rotor assembly, stacking, and winding.
Perform or support electrical measurements, inspections, and testing activities.
Verify installation quality and ensure compliance with engineering drawings, technical specifications, and project requirements.
Provide technical guidance and supervise subcontractors throughout installation activities.
Ensure all required tools, equipment, and materials are available before and during site execution.

Site & Project Coordination

Coordinate daily installation activities and monitor project progress.
Support project scheduling, resource planning, and capacity management.
Work closely with engineering and project management teams to resolve technical challenges.
Coordinate installation activities, deliveries, and interfaces with customers and subcontractors.
Proactively identify risks and support corrective actions to keep projects on schedule.

Quality Assurance

Ensure all installation work complies with Voith's quality standards and customer requirements.
Complete measurement records, inspection protocols, and technical documentation.
Monitor compliance with quality assurance procedures throughout the project lifecycle.

Reporting & Documentation

Prepare weekly progress reports and site status updates.
Document project meetings and technical discussions.
Prepare deviation reports, change requests, and HSE documentation.

Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

Promote a strong safety culture across all site activities.
Conduct regular safety briefings, inspections, and toolbox talks.
Ensure compliance with company and customer HSE policies and procedures.
Monitor the availability and proper use of personal protective equipment and safety devices.

Team Leadership

Lead and coordinate internal technicians and subcontractor teams.
Plan daily work activities and allocate responsibilities.
Monitor productivity, workforce performance, attendance, and discipline.
Foster collaboration and maintain effective communication within multicultural project teams.

Commercial & Project Support

Participate in project and site audits.
Support procurement of site materials within approved project budgets.
Assist project management in achieving project objectives related to quality, cost, and schedule.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
Experience in the installation, manufacturing, or maintenance of generators, large electric motors, or other rotating electrical equipment.
Previous experience supervising installation activities on industrial, energy, or construction projects.
Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, engineering drawings, and technical documentation.
Good knowledge of electrical measurements, testing procedures, and installation practices.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CAD software such as Solid Edge or equivalent.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills within international project environments.
Professional working proficiency in English. German language skills are considered an advantage.
Willingness to travel internationally and work on customer sites for extended periods.
