- On behalf of our client, Mikrotec Optika, a member of the Swiss-based Mikrop Group and a globally recognized manufacturer of cutting-edge micro-optical systems for medical technology and other high-tech industries, Manpower is looking for an experienced professional to take on the role of Technical Director.
- The Technical Director will play a key role in leading and further developing manufacturing operations in Serbia. The role will be responsible for overseeing a team of approximately 130 employees across Production, Production Planning, Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, and Manufacturing Support functions, while ensuring the highest operational and quality standards. This position offers the opportunity to drive operational excellence, support continuous improvement initiatives, and contribute to the growth of a high-performing organization within the demanding medical technology industry.

Description
- Own end‑to‑end site operations with focus on safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost performance.
- Define and execute operational strategy aligned with business goals and ISO 13485 / regulatory requirements.
- Lead, coach, and develop leaders and teams; strengthen accountability, collaboration, and performance culture.
- Drive Lean Management, KPI transparency, structured problem solving, and continuous improvement.
- Optimize processes, workflows, capacity, and resource allocation.
- Advance manufacturing excellence through process robustness, industrialization, technology adoption, and equipment reliability.
- Ensure strong collaboration across Production, Engineering, Quality, suppliers, customers, and headquarters.
- Provide transparent operational reporting and lead change initiatives.
Requirements
- University degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing, or Operations Management.
- Minimum 5 years leadership experience in manufacturing operations within an international environment.
- Experience in medical technology, precision manufacturing, optics, electronics, or another regulated industry preferred.
- Strong track record in Lean, operational excellence, and process optimization.
- Inspirational, pragmatic leadership style with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Hands‑on understanding of manufacturing, planning, engineering, quality, and maintenance.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving capability.
- Fluency in English.
