Short Description

On behalf of our client, Takenaka, a construction company, we are looking for a candidate for the position of Accountant.

• We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accountant to join our team in Finance and Accounting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for day-to-day accounting activities, accurate financial reporting, and compliance with both local regulations and IFRS requirements at group level. This role is essential to ensuring smooth financial operations and supporting the company’s ongoing implementation of Microsoft Business Central.

Description

• Maintain accurate accounting records in compliance with local regulations and IFRS standards for group-level reporting
• Process and reconcile accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank transactions
• Perform general ledger postings, journal entries, intercompany transactions, and monthly/annual closing activities
• Manage fixed asset records, depreciation schedules, acquisitions, and disposals
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements, VAT returns, tax reports, and other statutory filings
• Support internal and external audits by ensuring proper documentation, accuracy, and timely responses
• Investigate discrepancies, resolve accounting issues, and contribute to the improvement of internal controls
• Collaborate with internal teams and support the successful rollout and daily use of Microsoft Business Central

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• More than 3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• English language proficiency.
• Accounting license is preferable but not mandatory.
• Experience with Microsoft Business Central is an advantage (preferable but not required).
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify issues, propose solutions, and ensure accuracy.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize effectively, and work collaboratively within a team.
