Quality Manager

On behalf of our client, Techron Automotive, a company specializing in the production of plastic modules & components for the automotive industry, we are looking for a candidate for the position of Quality Manager.

Description

The Quality Manager will be responsible for establishing and implementing the complete Quality Management System (QMS) for a greenfield automotive production site specialized in plastic components. In the initial phase, the focus of the role will be on developing the quality framework, procedures, and documentation in line with automotive industry standards (ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 / ISO 27001 (ISMS) / TISAX). As production activities develop, the role will expand to include responsibility for product and process quality, ensuring compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.

• Establish and implement the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 / ISO 27001 (ISMS) / TISAX requirements
• Develop and maintain quality procedures, standards, and documentation at the factory level
• Lead activities related to ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 / ISO 27001 (ISMS) / TISAX certification and audit preparation
• Implement and monitor quality control processes for production and incoming materials
• Support industrialization and new product launch activities, including quality planning
• Apply and manage automotive quality tools such as APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plan, and 8D problem solving
• Analyze quality issues and lead root cause analysis and corrective actions
• Monitor process capability and product conformity within manufacturing operations
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to ensure compliance with quality standards
• Manage internal and external quality audits
• Establish the foundations for a future quality organization as the plant expands

Requirements

• University degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical field
• 5+ years of experience in quality management within the automotive industry
• Strong experience with Quality Management Systems and IATF 16949 requirements
• Experience in manufacturing environments, preferably related to plastic components or plastic injection processes
• Good knowledge of automotive quality tools and methodologies (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, 8D)
• Experience with internal and external audits
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and establish systems in a greenfield production environment
• Fluent English; German is a plus
