Senior Accountant

On behalf of our client, a respectable international company, we are searching for a motivated candidate to take the challenge and successfully fulfill the position of Senior Accountant

Description

• Performing monthly, quarterly, and annual account closing processes using specialized accounting knowledge
• Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Serbian local regulations and IFRS
• Taking responsibility for taxes, including advance turnover tax returns, and preparing tax returns
• Communicating with tax authorities, auditors, and tax consultants
• Managing accounts receivable in cooperation with sales representatives
• Providing regular explanations and reports to management
• Ensuring adherence to financial regulations and company procedures, and identifying areas for improvement in internal controls

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Several years of practical work experience in a comparable position
• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and international financial reporting standards
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with SAP is preferred 
• Good knowledge of the English language, both written and spoken
