Apply On behalf of our client, Tenfore, an electronic money institution and a leading company in the region in the field of payment services, we are looking for a candidate who will successfully meet the requirements of the CTO position.

The Role
As CTO, you will have full ownership of the technology strategy and execution. You will lead the engineering team, refine technical processes, and ensure the successful delivery of high-impact solutions. You will eliminate technical bottlenecks, implement best practices in Agile and DevOps, and build a high-performing team to drive product innovation and scalability.


Key Responsibilities
Technology & Architecture Leadership
  • Define and execute the technology roadmap, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Oversee software development, cloud infrastructure, and security practices.
  • Drive best practices in DevOps, CI/CD, and automation to improve system reliability and scalability.
  • Ensure security, compliance, and operational efficiency across all technology solutions.
  • Establish structured documentation processes to ensure long-term maintainability.
Team & Leadership
  • Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, DevOps specialists, and architects.
  • Recruit and build a high-caliber engineering team, filling skill gaps where necessary.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and team spirit to maintain high motivation and engagement.
  • Create an environment where developers are empowered to take ownership of their work while maintaining alignment with business goals.
  • Work closely with the General Manager and CEO to align technology with business strategy.
Process & Execution
  • Establish and enforce rigorous Agile methodologies, ensuring well-structured sprints and milestone tracking.
  • Ensure full adoption of modern development and project management tools for structured execution.
  • Implement a dedicated testing and validation environment to support structured feedback from business users.
  • Own the project tracking and governance model, ensuring transparency and data-driven decision-making.
Strategic & Business Impact
  • Work with leadership to evaluate buy vs. build decisions, ensuring cost-effectiveness and future scalability.
  • Provide regular updates to the CEO on development progress, risks, and budget projections.
  • Develop a technology strategy for potential external partnerships or licensing opportunities.
  • Ensure that technology investments deliver measurable business value and drive operational efficiency.
Position requirements:
We are seeking a pragmatic, execution-focused CTO who understands both technical excellence and business impact. The ideal candidate will have:


Technical Expertise
  • 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role (CTO, Head of Engineering, or similar).
  • Strong background in software development (Java), cloud technologies, and enterprise architecture.
  • Experience in leading large-scale software modernization and digital transformation projects.
  • Deep understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, automation, and security best practices.
  • Proven track record of designing and implementing scalable, high-performance solutions.
Leadership & Execution Skills
  • Proven ability to lead and scale engineering teams in complex environments.
  • Experience in transforming development processes and driving cultural change.
  • Strong ability to define and enforce Agile best practices.
  • Ability to build and maintain team spirit, ensuring a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Strategic thinker who can balance hands-on leadership with long-term vision.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate with C-level executives and business units.
  • Must be able to provide references to completed projects, demonstrating successful delivery of complex technical initiatives.
